The Woodlands Township is now registering volunteers for the Earth Day GreenUp, a Great American Cleanup event, slated for Saturday, March 29, 2014. For the fourth consecutive year, the community is participating in this nationwide stewardship project.
Neighborhoods, clubs, scouts, church groups, schools, families and individuals are invited to take part in the cleanup effort that targets trash on pathways, waterways and natural areas.
Children of all ages are encouraged to join The Woodlands Township for its annual Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, February 22, 2014, from 9 a.m.to noon in the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center parking lot, 6535 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands,TX 77389.
Sponsored by Munday Chevrolet, Touch-A-Truck is a unique event that brings together local companies and the communities where they work and live. It encourages children of all ages to touch vehicles, ask questions and even climb on the trucks and vehicles on display. In addition, there will be a do-it-yourself kids’ construction zone equipped with fun crafts and games.
