Jazz legends Spyro Gyra and Lee Ritenour kick off the 25th Performing Arts Season with a concert April 12, 2014. Tickets to the concert are $60 for reserved pit, $45 and $35 for reserved seating. Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. The concert is held in conjunction with the 9th Annual Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival and is presented by Xfinity.
The Pavilion Partners, the official volunteer organization of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, is looking for volunteers with a passion for the arts. On March 1, Partners is having an Orientation and Training at The Pavilion. The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are interested in being qualified to volunteer at all events including rock, country and symphony events you need attend this meeting.
The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced the availability of sponsorships for its 2014 events including the popular Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza, Lighting of the Doves, The Ice Rink, and much more.
Sponsorships at these and other events allow businesses to promote a brand, host client entertainment functions, sign up new customers and launch new products, explains Nick Wolda, president of The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau.
“This is a great way to reach residents of The Woodlands and visitors as well at high-quality events and festivals,” Wolda says. “We have had great feedback from our sponsors over the years and certainly expect strong interest in sponsorships for 2014.”
In addition to the 17th Annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza and Lighting of the Doves, sponsorships are available for several events at Waterway Square: Live at Night (Spring/Fall Series), Memorial Day in The Woodlands Weekend Celebration, Labor Day Weekend Celebration and Waterway Nights. Sponsorships also are available for Trick or Treat Trail, iWOW – International Winter On The Waterway, Donoho’s Jewellers Winter Wonderland, The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center and Caroling on the Square.
Ring in the holidays with The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s Holly Jolly Symphony Spectacular featuring the Houston Symphony Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. with a heart-warming celebration featuring the sounds of the season. Frolic in our Winter Wonderland, complete with snow, as the symphony performs holiday classics and popular carols.
Tickets are $15 for orchestra seating. Mezzanine and lawn seating are free courtesy of Woodforest National Bank, KPMG, LLP and TalismanUSA. Tickets are not required for free seating. Gates open at 6 p.m.
The more than 70 fashion boutiques in Market Street – The Woodlands will offer extended holiday shopping hours, beginning Black Friday, November 28, 2013 when its stores will be open an hour earlier from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Holiday shopping hours at the shopping, dining and entertainment destination through December 15 are Mondays through Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Shoppers can enjoy an extra hour of shopping from December 16 – 21 as Market Street stores will be open 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Last minute shopping hours on Sunday, December 22 are 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 23 are from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on Christmas Eve from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Market Street stores will be open New Year’s Eve from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and New Year’s Day, noon – 6 p.m. Although most stores and restaurants will be closed on Christmas Day, Cinemark Theater will be open. The 24th annual GE Run Thru the Woods is scheduled for November 28, 2013 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands Town Center. Run for a CAUSE! A holiday tradition, the annual Thanksgiving Day Run Thru the Woods Sponsored by GE and Directed by the South Montgomery County YMCA, is a race/walk designed for all ages and levels of fitness.
