Jazz legends Spyro Gyra and Lee Ritenour kick off the 25th Performing Arts Season with a concert April 12, 2014. Tickets to the concert are $60 for reserved pit, $45 and $35 for reserved seating. Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. The concert is held in conjunction with the 9th Annual Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival and is presented by Xfinity.
The Breast Cancer Charities of America announced that the St. Patrick’s Day iGoPink Golf Classic is scheduled for March 17, 2014. It will be held at The Woodlands Country Club -Palmer Course in The Woodlands, TX and registration will begin at 9:30 AM with a shotgun start at 11 AM.
Each player will receive a free TaylorMade Wedge Golf Club and is encouraged to wear their crazy golf pants to win the NEW Fancy Pants Competition. The price is set for $175 per player or $700 per team of four. Price includes green fees, cart, box lunch, dinner and awards, and a free TaylorMade Wedge Golf Club. All proceeds from event go to help the charity’s mission to eliminate breast cancer as a life-threatening illness. In 2013 BCCA was able to help over 1 million people across the United States. They brought the prevention and survivorship message to over 450 hospital partnerships, Universities and households in addition to assisting women financially to keep the basic necessities of rent and utilities paid for while in treatment.
Saturday, March 1 is Mardi Gras Spirit Day at The Woodlands Mall. Presented by Spring Moms Online and Mommy Gateway, the daylong event, held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., features family entertainment, crafts and activities for kids and a variety of exhibitors offering information on health and wellness; education; child development; sports and recreation; party and entertainment; and more. There will also be surprises and door prizes throughout the day’s festivities.
